Job summary

REI Co-op is seeking a Shipping and Receiving Specialist to scan and sort incoming and outgoing shipments. You will collaborate with team members to keep warehouse operations smooth, moving merchandise to the sales floor or backstock and assisting customers with questions about products.

The role emphasizes warehouse/shipping functions, attention to accuracy, and a flexible schedule to meet business needs. You will help ensure a tidy, organized facility and support loss prevention protocols.

Qualifications

• Previous warehouse, retail, or shipping/receiving experience preferred.
• Ability to transfer up to 35 pounds as needed.
• Open to feedback and other viewpoints to support the business.
• Uses judgment to solve problems and set priorities.

Responsibilities

• Receive store inventory, transfers, vendor and internal shipments.
• Process customer and product quality returns.
• Direct replenishment products to the sales floor or backstock.
• Perform cycle counts and audits of targeted inventory.
• Assist customers with questions about products, memberships, and services.
• Follow loss prevention and safety procedures.
• Work a flexible schedule based on business needs.
• Additional duties as assigned.
