Job summary

REI Co-op in Westbrook, ME is hiring a Shipping and Receiving Specialist to scan and sort shipments, receive inventory, and ensure products move smoothly to the floor or backstock. You will collaborate with teammates and help maintain a clean, organized warehouse.

You will conduct cycle counts, assist customers, and uphold safety policies while supporting store operations and loss prevention. This role emphasizes teamwork and reliability in a fast-paced retail warehouse.

Qualifications

• Experience in warehouse/retail/shipping/receiving preferred.
• Able to lift up to 35 pounds as needed.
• Willing to accept feedback and adapt.

Responsibilities

• Receive store inventory, transfers, vendor and internal shipments.
• Process customer and product quality returns.
• Direct the flow of replenishment products to the sales floor or backstock.
• Perform recurring cycle counts and audits of targeted inventory.
• Assist customers with questions about products, memberships, and services.
• Follow REI loss prevention and safety procedures.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs.
• Additional duties as assigned.
