Qualifications

• 1-2 years of hands-on shipping and receiving experience.
• Forklift experience a plus; will train.
• Overhead crane experience a plus; will train.
• Experience with measurement devices a must.
• Crating or carpentry experience a plus; will train.
• UPS WorldShip experience a plus.
• Export paperwork experience a plus.
• Understanding SDS/HazCom shipping regulations.

Responsibilities

• Verify outgoing shipments against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.
• Determine the method of shipment.
• Affix shipping labels on cartons and identify shipping information.
• Assemble containers or select preassembled containers.
• Insert items into containers and prepare for shipment.
• Maintain shipping materials inventory and safety procedures.
• Operate lift equipment to move shipments between areas.
• Ensure shipments meet specifications and are accurately documented.
• Update records and assist with clerical tasks as needed.
• Deliver incoming goods to the appropriate departments.
