Job summary

AST seeks a Shipping & Receiving Clerk in Tacoma to manage the accurate, timely movement of materials, pack and verify outgoing shipments, and perform final quality checks. The role supports ERP-based inventory processes in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and able to multitask while communicating clearly. On-site work with potential overtime and weekend hours may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; 1 year shipping/receiving/purchasing experience preferred.
• Experience with MS Excel, Word, and MRP system.
• Forklift/Crane certification a plus or ability to obtain it.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds and work overtime including weekends if needed.

Responsibilities

• Prepare items for shipment and verify accuracy against packing slips.
• Perform final quality checks before shipping.
• Package and crate items for shipment and maintain packaging standards.
• Maintain shipping information and compliance with regulations.
• Receive parts into ERP within 2 hours of receipt and issue parts per ERP Pick List.
• Assist with inventory management and supplier communications.
