Job summary

Interstate Assembly Systems in Surprise, AZ is hiring a Warehouse Associate and Shipping & Receiving Clerk to receive materials, prepare shipments, verify paperwork, and keep the shipping area organized.

The role requires a high school diploma, MS Office, experience in a fast-paced environment, and forklift/Reach lift experience. Training on lean methods is a plus; benefits include health insurance, PTO, and a 401(k).

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with Lean Methodologies preferred.
• Previous Shipping/Receiving, inventory, warehouse, or related experience.
• Experienced with all material handling equipment such as forklifts & Reach lifts.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong multi-tasking skills.
• Ability to lift 25-50lbs routinely.
• Occasionally lift over 50lbs.

Responsibilities

• Receive incoming materials and prepare outgoing shipments.
• Verify parts, quantities, and paperwork before materials are received or shipped.
• Inspect incoming shipments for obvious damage or discrepancies.
• Prepare and maintain accurate shipping and receiving documentation.
• Enter and retrieve information using shipping, inventory, and other computer systems.
• Use carrier software and other shipping programs as required.
• Operate a forklift to safely load, unload, and move materials.
• Organize incoming and outgoing materials so parts can be easily identified and located.
• Coordinate with production and other departments to keep materials moving.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies before shipments leave the facility.
• Communicate professionally with drivers, vendors, customers, and visitors.
• Prioritize multiple shipments, deliveries, and production requests throughout the day.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized Shipping/Receiving area.
• Follow established safety, quality, and shipping procedures.
