Job summary

J.R. & Co., Inc. is seeking a Shipping & Receiving Specialist in Kansas City, MO to own inbound/outbound material flow at our warehouse. You will verify deliveries against BOL, update project teams, and coordinate loads to ensure on-time jobsite deliveries.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations.
• Forklift operating experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily and weekly material receipts and outbound shipments for the KC warehouse.
• Unload and inspect incoming materials, and check them against BOLs and packing lists for damage, missing items, or incorrect quantities.
• Report variances to vendors and project stakeholders, and reject or return damaged materials using approved procedures.
• Track material status from pending through staged, delayed, on hold, or completed.
• Keep Superintendents, Project Managers, and leadership informed about material receipts, issues, and quality concerns.
• Partner with the Warehouse Manager on material staging, labeling, storage, and readiness for fabrication.
• Coordinate load building with warehouse teams so jobsite deliveries go out on time.
• Support approved inventory tracking and process improvements, and keep the warehouse clean, organized, and safe.
