Job summary

thyssenkrupp is seeking a Shipping and Receiving Clerk to accurately enter materials into inventory and coordinate shipments. The role serves as the primary contact for shipments and inventory questions, including damaged goods and returns, and supports the supervisor in daily warehouse operations.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, basic math and reading skills, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Warehouse experience with forklift, packing and measuring.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate records of items shipped and received.
• Oversees safe and reliable packaging of all outgoing shipments.
• Process items for shipment according to established guidelines and procedures.
• Review shipping notices, bills of lading, invoices, orders, and other records to determine shipping priorities, work assignments, and shipping methods to meet schedules.
• Review all international shipment documentation for compliance with standards.
• Maintain timely, effective, and professional communications with customers and suppliers.
• Perform general record keeping, filing, and administrative duties as required.
• Work on the warehouse floor around heavy machinery.
