Qualifications

• 2+ years shipping/receiving or heavy material handling experience.
• Proficiency with basic computer skills and software, including inventory systems and shipping software.
• Good communication skills for internal staff, logistics providers, and customers.
• Ability to read a tape measure and identify materials by dimensions.
• Strong attention to detail for inspecting shipments and inventory accuracy.
• Excellent organizational skills for inventory management and record-keeping.
• Ability to use basic hand and power tools.
• Ability to build skids and crates.
• Comfortable working in both team and individual settings.
• Willing to cross-train in other positions within materials department.

Responsibilities

• Inspect incoming shipments for damage or discrepancies and document issues.
• Prepare packages for shipment, label accurately, and coordinate with shipping companies.
• Communicate with departments, logistics providers, and customers to ensure smooth operations.
• Log inventory accurately and maintain an organized warehouse using inventory systems.
• Maintain records of all shipments, including weight, dimensions, and freight charges.
