Job summary

Canon U.S.A., Inc. in Sunnyvale is seeking a Shipping & Receiving Coordinator I to manage the picking, packing and shipping of inbound and outbound shipments under general supervision.

The role includes preparing bills of lading, loading trucks, recording shipment data and maintaining shipment logs. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma and are entry level, with a strong focus on customer service, reliability and meeting deadlines.

Qualifications

• Entry level position.
• Excellent customer service, professional attitude and appearance are required.
• Ability to work overtime and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Assemble orders and prepare goods for shipment.
• Record shipment data, including weight, charges, and space availability.
• Receive and unpack materials and supplies.
• Report damages and discrepancies to request reimbursement or re-shipment.
• Maintain logs of all shipments outgoing and incoming.
• Prepare monthly production and volume reports to measure productivity and billing charges.
• Unpack and examine incoming shipments, reject damaged items, and coordinate with shippers to rectify issues.
• Move materials between receiving, storage, and production areas.
• Fill requisitions and distribute materials accordingly.
• Post weights and shipping charges and affix postage.
• Mark materials with identifying information.
