Job summary

Boeing's Global Services, Distribution Business in Dallas, TX is seeking an Associate Shipping/Receiving Specialist to verify incoming and outgoing shipments, manage documentation, and handle hazardous goods per DOT rules. You will perform cycle counts, use hand scanners and ERP systems, arrange cost-efficient transport, and coordinate with vendors while meeting deadlines.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of related work experience.
• Ability to read, write and follow safety guidelines and given instructions.
• Experience in operating material handling equipment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications.
• Current valid driver’s license with clean driving record (where driving forms part of the role).
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods and lift up to 35 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Places parts in proper location after identifying and verifying part numbers.
• Uses a utility cart, identifies cartons by part number, uses a computer or laptop, cart, cycle counts product, hand scanner and PC.
• Picking and filling orders using a laptop computer or hand scanner. Print and batch pick tickets and prepare warehouse pull and return.
• Schedule, track and monitor both inbound and outbound shipments to ensure proper routing and storing of goods.
• Complete export documentation and shipping manifests, including documentation required for the transport of dangerous goods.
• Demonstrate knowledge of governmental trade compliance and environmental regulations as they apply to storage, handling and transportation of dangerous goods.
