Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and 2–3 years shipping, warehousing, or manufacturing experience.
• Ability to operate a forklift safely and follow detailed procedures.
• Knowledge of DOT and hazmat procedures is preferred or training provided.

Responsibilities

• Work Safely and observe all EHS rules.
• Follow shipping instructions, packing list requirements, and use designated carriers.
• Inventory finished goods to assure production and availability accuracy.
• Ensure compliance with shipping procedures to maintain record accuracy.
• Investigate inventory errors and take corrective action.
• Notify supervision of pending or imminent problems.
• Load trailers as they become available.
• Be a self-starter and work independently.
• Handle material and transportation of product.
• Assist in receiving stores or production lines to meet customer orders.
• Comply with DOT, HAZMAT and environmental policies and procedures.
• Adhere to Health and Safety policies; use PPE as required.
• Participate in DPS continuous improvement and kaizen events.
• Provide coverage for other shipping and receiving department members.
