Job summary

LAEPPLE Automotive US, Inc. in Detroit seeks an experienced Shipping & Receiving Clerk to ensure accurate inbound/outbound handling, inspect goods and maintain inventory records. You will box items, print shipping labels, and manage outgoing shipments, while coordinating with carriers for timely transport.

The role requires forklift operation proficiency, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to travel for training as needed within a lean manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum two years of material handling experience.
• Valid driver's license with safe driving record.
• Ability to be certified to operate powered industrial vehicles.
• Experience operating a forklift and other material handling equipment.
• Shipping, receiving and inventory management experience.

Responsibilities

• Receive and inspect incoming goods for accuracy and quality against documents.
• Prepare items for shipping, create labels and maintain outbound records.
• Manage inventory by organizing storage and maintaining accuracy.
• Load and unload trucks using forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.
• Process returned goods and document damages/discrepancies.
• Coordinate with carriers for pickups and deliveries.
• Communicate with customers, suppliers and staff to ensure smooth shipments.
• Resolve shipping issues and escalate to management as needed.
• Perform pre-use inspections and routine maintenance on material handling equipment.
• Keep loading areas and machinery clean and safe; adhere to safety regulations.
