Job summary

Express Employment Professionals - Cincinnati East is seeking Shipping and Receiving Candidates for roles with our clients in Plymouth, MN and Champlin, MN. Prior shipping and receiving experience and comfort with multiple software systems are required.

Shifts available: 1st and 2nd. Responsibilities include verifying shipments, moving inventory with equipment, scanning, maintaining inventory records, preparing documents, and inspecting inbound freight.

Qualifications

Shipping/receiving experience with multiple software systems.
Ability to verify accuracy of shipments and documentation.

Responsibilities

Verify accuracy of shipments by counting, weighing, comparing size, weight, description and bar code numbers with information on shipping documents, packing lists and purchase orders.
Move inventory to various locations using forklift, pallet jack or hand cart.
Scan and store items according to established location scanning procedures.
Maintain computerized inventory records, take physical count periodically and check against inventory control totals.
Requisition additional supplies from the Purchasing Department, as needed.
Pick and verify accuracy of outgoing orders, auditing each shipment prior to loading to ensure that goods match the sales order.
Package and label product based upon established procedures and standards.
Prepare shipping and receiving documentation according to Company procedures.
Inspect incoming freight for damage.
