Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• Able to operate a forklift and pallet jack safely.
• Ability to read and interpret documents and to write routine reports.
• Basic math skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to follow instructions and work with several variables.

Responsibilities

• Pull customer orders and prepare shipping documents accurately and promptly.
• Prepare skids or pallets for shipping and wrap completed skids.
• Unload raw materials from trucks and inspect shipments for damage.
• Route items to departments and scan materials into the system.
• Operate a forklift or hand truck to move shipments; verify bills of lading and orders.
• Prepare all inbound/outbound articles for shipment and select the best method.
• Schedule freight pickups and complete manifest paperwork.
• Maintain inventory of shipping materials and assist with safety procedures.
