Job summary

MCC Label in Wisconsin seeks an Inventory Control Clerk to manage incoming and outgoing shipments, prepare documentation, and keep accurate records. The role involves unloading shipments, scanning items, and using a forklift to move materials to storage or production areas.

You will support Customer Service, maintain shipping inventories, and ensure safety policies are followed. A high school diploma or GED plus forklift experience is preferred, with strong reading, writing, and math skills

Qualifications

• Minimum education: high school diploma or GED, or 1–3 months related experience.
• Must be able to operate a forklift and pallet jack.
• Ability to read and interpret documents, write routine reports, and communicate with customers and associates.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic and apply concepts of algebra.
• Ability to follow written or oral instructions and work in standardized settings.
• Physical ability to stand, lift up to 50 pounds, and constant mobility as needed.

Responsibilities

• Pull customer orders and prepare shipping documents accurately and promptly.
• Prepare skids or pallets for shipping and apply stretch wrap.
• Unload raw materials from trucks and prepare items for storage.
• Inspect incoming shipments, reject damaged items, and coordinate with shippers on shortages.
• Route items to departments and record inventory movements in the system.
• Operate a forklift or hand truck to move shipments to storage or work areas.
• Verify items against bills of lading and invoices for accuracy.
• Schedule carriers for pickups and complete manifest paperwork.
• Collaborate with Customer Service to coordinate shipment efforts.
• Maintain inventory of shipping materials and supplies and assist with equipment maintenance.
• Adhere to facility safety policies and ethics; participate in special projects as assigned.
