Job summary

MCC is seeking a Shipping and Receiving Clerk to act as the primary contact for incoming and outgoing drivers. You will verify documentation, prepare shipments, and maintain accurate schedules.

The role requires operating a forklift and pallet jack, scanning items, and coordinating with Customer Service to ensure on-time delivery. You will load and unload shipments, inspect items for damages, and route materials to the correct departments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be able to operate forklift and pallet jack.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate with customers and associates.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.

Responsibilities

• Pull customer orders and prepare related shipping documents.
• Prepare skids or pallets for shipping and apply stretch wrap.
• Unload raw materials from trucks and inspect incoming shipments.
• Record shortages and coordinate with shipper to rectify issues.
• Route items to departments and scan material into the computer system.
• Operate forklift or hand truck to move shipments.
• Verify items against bills of lading, invoices, orders or records.
• Prepare and route incoming/outgoing articles for shipment to final destination.
• Schedule freight carriers and complete manifest paperwork.
• Maintain inventory of shipping materials and assist in equipment maintenance.
