Job Description

The Shipping & Receiving Specialist manages all warehouse functions including receiving, storing, handling, shipping, and preparing products for delivery, while maintaining a safe and organized warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

1. Load and unload materials, perform warehouse tasks.
2. Follow work and shipping orders or verbal instructions.
3. Secure materials during transit with strapping, padding, using hand tools.
4. Handle materials on pallets, racks, shelves.
5. Transport materials within the warehouse using appropriate equipment.
6. Label and record materials accurately.
7. Maintain warehouse records; operate industrial equipment as needed.
8. Coordinate storage and distribution activities to optimize space and efficiency.
9. Verify shipments and manage inventory records.
10. Inspect warehouse conditions and equipment, coordinate repairs.
11. Collaborate with departments on warehouse activities.
12. Secure warehouse contents against loss.
13. Prepare and review distribution documents.
14. Manage salvage of damaged materials.
15. Participate in safety and security planning.
16. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma
• Shipping/Receiving experience preferred
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Valid Driver's License
