Job summary

National Peening Wallingford, part of the Sinto America family, is seeking a Shipping & Receiving Inspector at our Wallingford, CT facility. The role ensures accurate material flow and oversees quality of shot peening and finishing per customer orders.

You will collaborate with the Plant and Quality Managers to meet customer requirements, safety, ITAR regulations, and internal performance goals, while maintaining daily shipment reporting and documentation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Must meet ITAR eligibility requirements and be able to present documentation at date of hire.
• Ability to lift 70 lbs and work in a dusty, noisy industrial environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain daily shipment reports.
• Perform incoming inspections and issue receiving paperwork.
• Review customer purchase orders and contracts.
• Create job/part certifications in the E2 system.
• Review and over-inspection co-workers' final customer certifications and packing slips.
• Issue customer awareness documents and quality department non-conformance reports.
• Understand customer operation sheets and verify peen requirements.
• Read and follow written procedures; POPs or equivalent.
• Perform sieve test analysis to standards.
• Utilize Profilometer surface analyzer and measure finish per POP.
• Calibrate quality tools and equipment as needed.
• Complete and sign all E2 router steps.
