Job summary

Precision Castparts in Dillon, South Carolina is seeking a Level Two shipping/receiving associate to advance from Level One. Under minimal supervision you will complete all shipping and receiving tasks, prepare loads for pickup, and demonstrate an intermediate ability to help develop new packaging processes.

You will interpret work instructions, work safely, and participate in 6S housekeeping while collaborating with a team to meet daily schedules.

Qualifications

• 1 to 2 year of manufacturing experience; prior military experience; or technical certification / degree required.
• GED or High School diploma required
• Minimum 6 months prior experience operating powered industrial equipment

Responsibilities

• Obtain job assignments from lead, supervisor or manager.
• Work safely in accordance to plant safety guidelines including cardinal rules of safety.
• Adheres to quality processes including in-process visual inspection to ensure compliance with quality specifications.
• Correctly interpret work instructions
• Work in a team environment, i.e. follow instructions and assist others as needed.
• Intermediate system transactions in QMS
• Creating shipping documentation (BOL, POD etc.)
• Part marking qualification required
• Packaging and shipping of test material
• Maintain equipment and work area in a clean and orderly condition.
• Perform daily housekeeping / 6S activities as required.
• Help teach and train new employees on the requirements of the position, including safety.
• Perform other duties as requested by lead, supervisor or manager.
