Job summary

Precision Castparts Corp. is seeking a level two shipping/receiving clerk in Irvine, CA. Under minimal supervision, you will complete shipping/receiving tasks, aid in developing new packaging processes, and prioritize work based on schedules to prepare loads for pickup.

Minimum 3+ years of Class C driving experience and a clean driving record are required, along with basic math and computer skills. This role involves forklift operation and occasional local deliveries.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 3+ years of experience as a class C driver.
• US Citizenship or Permanent Residency is required due to government military contracts.
• Licensed driver with a clean driving record.
• Basic English language skills and the ability to read, follow, and interpret planning and work order instructions.

Responsibilities

• Obtain job assignments from supervisor or manager.
• Work safely under functional safety guidelines such as PPE and equipment interaction.
• Adheres to quality processes including in-process inspection.
• Read shippers and verify load for accuracy.
• Operate a forklift and logistics equipment.
• Safely load and unload material onto truck.
• Prepare materials for inspections and basic packaging tasks.
• Maintain equipment and work area in a clean and orderly condition.
• Perform daily housekeeping / 6S activities as required.
• Establish own routes to accomplish delivery objectives.
• Occasionally deliver outside of local area.
