Job summary

Precision Castparts in Dillon, SC is seeking a Level One shipping/receiving associate to support unloading and loading, verify packaging, and prepare materials for inspections.

You will perform basic packing, forklift operation, and use of standard QA processes under supervision. The role requires 0–1 year of manufacturing experience and a GED or high school diploma.

Qualifications

• 0–1 year of manufacturing experience; prior military experience; or technical certification/degree required.
• GED or High School diploma.
• Minimum 6 months prior experience operating powered industrial equipment.

Responsibilities

• Obtain job assignments from lead, supervisor or manager.
• Work safely in accordance to plant safety guidelines including cardinal rules of safety.
• Adheres to quality processes including in-process visual inspection to ensure compliance with quality specifications.
• Correctly interpret work instructions and verify documentation
• Unload trucks – (Visual Inspection, Verification of received goods)
• Prepare materials for inspections
• Pull stock to prepare shipments
• Palletize goods (banding, wrapping etc.)
• Basic system transactions in QMS
• Basic packaging tasks (weigh count, labeling, visual inspection etc.)
• Part marking verification
• Maintain equipment and work area in a clean and orderly condition.
• Perform daily housekeeping / 6S activities as required.
• Perform other duties as requested by lead, supervisor or manager.
