Job summary

Tate Americas is seeking a Shipping/Receiving Supervisor to lead the shipping and receiving team, ensuring safe, on-time, and complete deliveries to customers. The role emphasizes employee development and adherence to safety and quality standards.

You will coordinate with manufacturing and plant leadership to resolve issues, oversee training, and maintain compliance with SOPs and safety policies, while promoting a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Associates degree plus 3+ years shipping/receiving experience, or 5 years supervisory experience in a multi‑shift manufacturing operation.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and assign personnel across multiple shifts.
• Strong understanding of warehousing processes and equipment; direct shipping/receiving personnel accordingly.
• Proficient with ERP systems and Microsoft Office, including Excel.

Responsibilities

• Directly responsible for the safety of employees and enforce safety as a core value.
• Assign personnel to meet production objectives across all areas of responsibility.
• Communicate daily performance and identify root causes for any special-cause circumstances.
• Coordinate training and competency to promote cross-training and self-sufficiency.
• Lead daily pre-shift meetings and update the daily shipping plan as needed.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering to address production issues impacting quality and safety.
• Maintain policies, procedures, and work instructions including SOPs, MOPs, JSAs and Safety Manual.
• Report quality issues and unsafe conditions to appropriate personnel.
• Participate in physical inventory events.
