Job summary

Millerbernd Manufacturing in Winsted, MN is seeking a Shipping & Receiving Operator 2 to join the Transportation & Infrastructure team. The role focuses on identifying parts and preparing products for shipment. Weekend shift Fri–Sun 5am–5pm with a $2.50/hour differential.

Responsibilities include loading, unloading, inventory checks, blueprints interpretation, and ERP tracking to ensure accurate, timely shipments. Prior manufacturing and English skills are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong English verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to read blueprints and mechanical drawings.
• Proficient with tape measures and precision measuring devices.
• Capable of basic shop math.
• Ability to operate independently and in a high‑performance team.

Responsibilities

• Uses crane, hoist, forklift, or other equipment to transport materials.
• Package, band, or shrink-wrap products or loads.
• Load and unload finished products on trucks.
• Provide input for loading decisions and execute the daily plan.
• Follow customer shipping specifications and standard work.
• Verify/Count parts moved to match paperwork for inventory accuracy.
• Maintain accurate inventory of shipping materials.
• Interpret blueprints, BOL, and other documents to identify parts.
• Interpret priorities to complete tasks timely.
• Occasionally perform cycle counts.
• Utilize ERP software to track status of jobs & materials.
• Inspect deliveries and log documentation.
• Gather/pick/assemble products on load lists.
• Put product away in designated areas.
• Safely operate yard truck and pay loader as required.
• Keep area organized and follow 5S guidelines.
• May train employees.
