Job summary

Mountain Motorsports LLC is seeking a dedicated Shipping/Receiving Clerk for the Parts Department in Chattanooga, TN. The role focuses on receiving and shipping parts and accessories, maintaining clean storage areas, and coordinating with the Parts Manager to ensure accurate inventory and process efficiency.

Applicants should have 1–3 years of related experience, be able to work long hours including weekends, and be comfortable using inventory software and ERP systems.

Qualifications

• Language Skills to include the ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents.
• Reasoning Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
• Education Requirements 1 to 3 years related experience and or training with documented previous performance
• Regular attendance during store hours including the ability to work 9+ hours per day and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Understand and reinforce the Mountain Motorsports mission statement.
• Efficiently receive all incoming parts and accessories while reporting discrepancies to the Parts Manager.
• Manage cleanliness of all parts storage areas and take ownership of this area.
• Assist the Parts Manager in inventory-related tasks such as cycle counts and organizing returns.
• Work with vendors to resolve issues such as discrepancies and back orders.
• Regular attendance during store hours to receive and process inventory.

PURPOSE OF POSITION : Manage all incoming and outgoing parts, accessories and logistics in a clean and efficient manner for Mountain Motorsports while living up to our core standards and mission statement.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Including but not limited to the following.

Understand and reinforce the Mountain Motorsports mission statement. Greatly exceed expectations. We do the unexpected, we achieve excellence through teamwork and we constantly improve.

Efficiently receive all incoming parts and accessories while reporting any discrepancies to the Parts Manager.

Manage the cleanliness of all parts storage areas. Complete ownership of this is key.

Assist the Parts Manager as requested in inventory related functions such as cycle counts, organizing returns, and re organization of the storage areas.

Quickly work with vendors to solve issues such as receiving discrepancies, back orders, miss-shipped parts, and return allowances.

Efficiently receive all incoming parts and accessories while reporting any discrepancies to the Parts Manager.

Regular attendance during store hours is required to receive and process inventory.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.

Language Skills to include the ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints. Ability to use computer software programs to complete daily tasks.

Education Requirements 1 to 3 years related experience and or training with documented previous performance

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Regular attendance during normal scheduled store hours including the ability to work 9+ hours per day and the ability to work weekends.

Frequent standing, walking and sitting

The ability to work in a high stress environment and the ability to work under tight deadlines which may require longer/later hours as needed.

The ability to continually engage and interact with others, including clients and employees throughout the work day via various methods of communications including phone and computer usage.

Occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs

Occasional pushing of up to 100+ lbs

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Occasional exposure to changes in temperature and humidity.

Frequent working with and around others.

Occasional work around mechanical parts.

Occasional exposure to hazardous chemicals.
