Job summary

Horton Emergency Vehicles seeks a Production Lead to oversee daily production tasks at our Grove City, OH facility. You will lead and mentor team members, ensure safety and quality, and coordinate with other departments to meet production goals.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in a related field, familiarity with pneumatic and power tools, basic PC skills, and the ability to read and communicate in English. Welding certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must be able to prioritize work, work independently and build relationships.
• Must understand parts flow throughout the building.
• 2+ years of experience in related field preferred.
• Fundamental use of pneumatic and power tools; safe operation of drill, screw gun, sander, jig saw, etc.
• Must have basic PC skills and access to required information on a computer.
• Ability to read, write, comprehend and convey simple instructions in English.
• Ability to perform work within quality and time standards.
• Ability to present information clearly in one-on-one and small group settings.

Responsibilities

• Lead and assist personnel in completing daily production tasks.
• Communicate tasks and instructions to work cell personnel.
• Meet minimum safety standards per department.
• Be familiar with all processes of the assigned department.
• Aim to qualify for the highest ranking job classification within the department.
• Ensure parts are ordered and processed, and lead machine operators.
• Coordinate interdepartmental communication to ensure timely product flow.
