Job summary

FabLogix in Duncan, SC is seeking a reliable General Helper to support fabrication, shipping and receiving, and other shop departments. You will count, sort, identify, and move parts and materials to keep pipe fabrication, modular assembly, and structural steel work on schedule.

The role involves loading/unloading trucks, delivering materials to workstations, and assisting various departments. Safety, accuracy, and willingness to perform all related tasks are essential.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in fabrication, manufacturing, construction, or shipping/receiving preferred.
• Experience counting and organizing parts or materials against packing slips or material lists.
• Experience loading and unloading trucks and moving heavy or long materials.
• Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and measuring tools; cleaning, grinding, or labeling experience a plus.
• Forklift or material-handling equipment experience, including pipe or long loads, with documented training a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Count, sort, identify, and organize parts, materials, and supplies.
• Verify items and quantities before storage, delivery, or shipment.
• Keep storage areas orderly so parts are easy to locate.
• Check incoming/outgoing items against lists, packing slips, and material lists.
• Report missing, damaged, or incorrect items to a supervisor.
• Load and unload trucks and move materials safely.
• Gather and deliver correct parts to workers and workstations.
• Confirm part numbers and quantities before delivery.
• Clean pipe and other materials, grind, measure, and label as directed.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and measuring tools safely.
• Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment after training.
• Complete equipment inspection sheets and report defects.
• Wear PPE and follow safe lifting and load-handling practices.
• Assist departments as directed and perform routine housekeeping.
