Job summary

Kelso Industries in Duncan, SC seeks a CDL Class A Driver / Shipping Helper to safely transport materials and support daily shipping and receiving within the fabrication facility.

This role combines driving with hands-on shop support, requiring attention to safety, accurate logs, and teamwork to keep deliveries on schedule.

You will operate company vehicles, secure loads, perform pre-trip inspections, and assist with inventory and loading using forklifts as needed.

Qualifications

• CDL Class A license with clean driving record.
• DOT Medical Card required.
• Minimum 2+ years of commercial driving experience.
• Experience in fabrication/manufacturing/construction preferred.
• Forklift experience preferred (or willingness to be trained).
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a physically active environment.
• Strong attention to detail and safety mindset.
• Dependable with a team-oriented attitude.

Responsibilities

• Operate company vehicles to transport materials and equipment to and from job sites.
• Ensure loads are secured and compliant with DOT regulations.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report issues.
• Maintain delivery logs and required documentation.
• Assist with inventory handling and material staging.
• Assist with loading/unloading using forklifts or other equipment.
• Support other departments as needed during downtime from driving duties.
• Follow PPE requirements and safety protocols.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the shipping/receiving area.
