Job summary

American Bin and Conveyor in Burlington, WI is seeking a General Labor/Shipping/Receiving Clerk to handle, load and unload parts and materials. The role requires day shift work, outdoor duties in all weather, and the ability to operate or learn forklift and overhead crane with emphasis on safety.

The position includes reviewing packing slips, coordinating with Purchasing, preparing shipments, and maintaining an orderly yard and inventory.

Qualifications

• Ability to operate overhead crane and mobile equipment (training provided).
• Able to climb onto/off trailers while wearing PPE.
• Ability to read and apply safety rules, operating instructions and packaging guidelines.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Basic reading and writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with loading and unloading trucks & trailers.
• Handle and transport materials from storage to designated areas.
• Review incoming materials against packing slips; coordinate with Purchasing to resolve discrepancies.
• Load materials onto flatbeds, step decks and trailers.
• Assist in banding and palletizing equipment/parts.
• Assist in shipping and receiving powder coated and galvanized equipment.
• Keep inventory and yard neat and organized.
• Assist maintenance and shop tasks as needed.
