Job summary

American Bin and Conveyor is seeking a General Labor/Shipping/Receiving Clerk in Wisconsin. You will handle loading and unloading, move materials within the yard, and assist with packing and shipping tasks while following safety standards.

This role requires physical work outdoors in all seasons, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and willingness to obtain forklift certification if needed. Training will be provided for overhead crane operation.

Responsibilities

• Assist with loading and unloading trucks and trailers.

• Band and palletize equipment.
• Assist in shipping and receiving powder coated equipment.
• Keep inventory and yard neat and organized.
• Maintain grounds.
• Operate overhead crane and other equipment (training provided).
• Complete daily safety inspections.

Job description

American Bin and Conveyor is looking for a General Labor/Shipping/Receiving Clerk.This position will be responsible for handling, loading, and unloading of parts and materials to designated areas. Helps maintain the yard and grounds and assists as needed throughout the facility. Must be forklift certified or be able to obtain certification and have ability to operate overhead crane. Must be able to perform tasks accurately and in a timely manner while maintaining all Company safety standards.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESResponsible for assisting with loading and unloading trucks & trailers.Handle and transport materials/supplies from storage to designated areas.Review incoming materials against packing slips and purchase for accuracy. Work with Purchasing agent to resolve discrepancies.Loads materials onto flatbed, step deck and double drop trailers.Assist in banding and palletizing equipment/parts.Assist in shipping and receiving powder coated and galvanized equipment.Keep inventory and yard neat and organized.Help maintain grounds – mowing, shoveling, filling gravel in lot, etc.Assist in loading and unloading the blast and paint rooms.Participate and complete take 2.5's daily (will train)Kit parts for assembly as needed.Assist maintenance as needed.Fill out and submit daily inspection forms for mobile equipment.Assist in shop as assigned or delegated.Ability to use overhead crane and mobile equipment (will train)Must be able to climb onto and off of trailers while wearing PPEAbility to read, interpret and apply safety rules, operating instructions, work instructions and packaging guidelines.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.Ability to work outside in all seasons for portions of shifts.Basic reading and writing skills.WORKING CONDITIONSThis job requires standing, sitting, lifting, bending, reaching, squatting, walking, and twisting.Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.American Bin and Conveyor offers employees and their families a comprehensive benefit package to ensure their personal and family’s overall health and wellness needs are met.
