Job summary

Qualifications

• 1-2 years shipping/receiving experience required.
• Forklift experience and ability to maneuver loads in tight spaces.
• Adherence to quality standards, methods and reporting.
• Basic math skills for counting packages, skids and weight.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Compare identifying information and counts, weighs or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify against records.
• Assemble and pack product containers, label packed cartons, or identify shipping information for containers.
• Unpack, examine and route incoming shipments.
• Empty machine hoppers and route raw material to appropriate machining centers.
• Empty garbage containers throughout production.
• Load and unload semi-trailers as needed.
• Maintain positive relations with customers, vendors and fellow employees.
• Demonstrate high safety standards in accordance with company policy.
• All other duties as assigned.
