Job summary

UFP Industries, Inc. in Florida is seeking a Shipping and Receiving Clerk to coordinate incoming and outgoing shipments, prepare paperwork, and verify documents. The role requires basic math, forklift licensing, and familiarity with DOT regulations.

You will schedule loads, ensure correct loading, maintain records, and assist with loading/unloading as needed. Attention to detail and safe handling of lumber products are essential, as is communicating with sales and production to meet delivery

Qualifications

Minimum high school diploma or GED.
At least 6 months of shipping/receiving experience.
Working knowledge of DOT concepts, regulations, practices and procedures.
Working knowledge of Excel, Word and Outlook.

Responsibilities

Coordinate and schedule outbound loads with sales and production.
Determine loading order and placement of product.
Verify shipping documents and record discrepancies.
Set up loads to be shipped via common carrier with outside freight companies.
Coordinate routing of orders and dispatch carriers with orders and delivery instructions.
Ensure internal/external paperwork meets DOT regulations and procedures.
Document shortages and inform sales/admin.
Handle tracing/expedite orders as needed.
Maintain documentation of incoming and outgoing shipments.
May assist with loading/unloading material.
