Qualifikationen

• Minimum 6 months of experience in shipping and receiving or related areas.
• Working knowledge of DOT concepts, regulations, practices and procedures.
• Working knowledge of loading techniques, weight limitations and company procedures.
• Proficient with Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Forklift driver licensing is required.

Aufgaben

• Coordinate and schedule all outbound loads with sales and production.
• Determine proper loading order and placement of product.
• Verify shipping documents and record discrepancies.
• Set up loads to be shipped via common carrier with outside freight companies.
• Route orders and dispatch carrier with delivery instructions and customer receiving times.
• Ensure internal/external paperwork meets DOT regulations and procedures.
• Document shortages, investigate causes, and inform sales/admin.
• Handle tracing/expediting orders as needed.
• Maintain documentation of incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Assist with loading/unloading material from trucks or carts.
• Prepare reports and correspondence as required.
