Job summary

Penske Logistics is seeking a Shipping & Receiving Clerk for our Salt Lake City warehouse. The role provides administrative and operational support, coordinating driver activity, dispatching loads, and ensuring accurate documentation. The ideal candidate is organized, detail‑oriented, and communicates professionally with internal teams and customers.

Schedule is Monday–Friday, 2pm–10:30pm with OT and weekends as needed. Pay is $20.00/hour plus $1.00 shift differential ($21/hour).

Qualifications

• 2 years of general office experience required.
• 1 year of customer service experience required.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous shipping/receiving clerk experience highly preferred.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint required.
• Experience with Warehouse Management Systems highly preferred.
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job.
• Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Utilize WMS to audit parts for delivery routes.
• Identify, investigate, and correct route discrepancies.
• Receive and dispatch drivers in a timely manner.
• Prepare, manifest, and dispatch outbound loads correctly.
• Coordinate driver activity with the dock to ensure timely receiving of inbound loads.
• Maintain organized filing system (electronic and paper).
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of documentation.
• Support general office and warehouse tasks as needed.
