Job summary

Mars is hiring Welcome Center Associates to support continuous packing line operations and ensure customer requirements are met at our site in Ohio. You will work with planners, drivers, and shift leaders to keep shipments moving efficiently while maintaining safety protocols.

The role emphasizes strong communication, basic computer skills, and a willingness to learn in a manufacturing environment. Prior experience is helpful but not required, with opportunities for development through Mars

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and documentation.
• Passion to work and learn in a manufacturing environment.
• 1 year of manufacturing experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Works with Planners, Taskers, Shift Leaders, and drivers to maintain high service levels.
• Coordinate driver, equipment, yard moves, and freight.
• Delegate tasks to Yard Spotters when needed.
• Ensure shipping and receiving documents are accurate and timely.
• Sequence loading and unloading locations to streamline operations.
• Maintain written or electronic logs accurately and on time.
• Comply with international shipping regulations.
• Prepare and distribute documented correspondence.
• Input data as requested and ensure timely updates.
• Verify documents are signed and time-stamped correctly.
• Check in and dispatch trailers per SOP.
• Use appropriate computer applications for the job.
• Maintain monthly shipment/travel logs and orders.
• Ensure compliance with international customs regulations.
• Forward information to freight forwarders for shipments.
• Retain and organize documentation securely.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
