Ryder is hiring a Shipping and Receiving Clerk Associate in Hagerstown, Maryland, offering weekly pay and a comprehensive benefits package to support a stable career in the supply chain.

As a valued member of Ryder's warehouse team, you will handle clerical and warehouse tasks, operate forklifts, and use Microsoft Office and warehouse management systems to ensure accurate, timely processing.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year or more clerical or warehouse experience preferred.
• 1 year or more experience operating forklift equipment preferred.
• 1 year or more Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, etc.) preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrates customer service skills.
• Ability to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization (peers, work groups, customers, supervisors).
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates activities with clerks from other floor areas, the customer and/or other suppliers as needed.
• Using the location's WMS system updates area or shift metrics as needed.
• Generates daily, weekly or monthly reports, memos, and summaries often of a technical and/or confidential nature.
• Floor work and additional duties as assigned.
• Performs basic administrative tasks for area or shift. Maintains filing systems and documents.
• Gathers from and provides information to floor employees in his/her area of support.
• Coordinates activities/meetings/communication for the specific area or shift.
• Performs other duties as assigned depending on area supported or if location specific.
