Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. in Hagerstown, Maryland is hiring a Shipping and Receiving Clerk Associate. You will support daily logistics by checking in drivers, coordinating dock doors, and ensuring accurate shipping and receiving documentation.

This role offers weekly pay, a $500 sign-on bonus, and benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and paid time off. Shift is third, with a schedule that includes Thursdays to Saturdays and an every-other Wednesday overnight rotation.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years of experience with SAP and Warehouse Management System (WMS).
• Fast-paced environment; strong communication skills and multitasking ability.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and warehouse documentation.
• Safety sensitive position; may require equipment operation and certification.
• Ability to build professional relationships across teams.

Responsibilities

• Check truck drivers in and out.
• Assign dock doors for inbound/outbound activity.
• Verify accuracy of shipping/receiving documentation and resolve issues with inventory.
• Assist in appointment scheduling as needed.
• Update required reports on a timely basis and communicate with customers.
• Coordinate inbound and outbound loads; perform other duties as assigned.

Warehouse Positions Pay Weekly

• Hourly Pay $23.45 per hour
• Additional Pay: $1.50 per hour when assigned to third shift
• Sign-on bonus: $500 bonus paid in two installments (50% after 30 days, 50% after 90 days)
• Schedule: Third Shift (D) Thursday-Saturday 7:00 pm - 7:00 am, every other Wednesday 7:00 pm - 7:00 am

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Two (2) years or more experience in SAP and Warehouse Management System (WMS)
• Flexibility to operate and self-driven to excel in a fast-paced environment
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to:
• Create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization (peers, work groups, customers, supervisors)
• Multi-task, be highly organized, with excellent time management skills
• Work independently and as a member of a team
• Detail oriented with excellent follow-up practices
• Excellent PC skills in MS Office (intermediate level)
• SAP and Warehouse Management System (WMS) knowledge (intermediate level)
• Safety Sensitive Position. Non-Regulated Tech. Depending on location, may be required to operate equipment and be equipment certified
