Qualifications

• Experience in a physical role, preferably in warehouse, shipping/receiving, or material handling environment.
• Strong attention to detail with ability to accurately match long numbers and letters on labels and lists.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs continuously during an 8-hour shift; comfortable with heights using platforms or lifts.
• US citizenship required due to federal security rules.
• Willing and able to undergo fingerprinting and pass a federal background check.

Responsibilities

• Move and stage record boxes weighing up to 50 lbs, including lifting to elevated heights up to 15 feet.
• Label and track boxes with barcode and RFID labels in exact locations for electronic tracking.
• Pack and secure pallets, arrange boxes on pallets, protect corners, and wrap securely for shipping.
• Check inventory by comparing box numbers against pull lists to ensure accuracy before moving.
• Use material handling gear like hand trucks, wheeled carts, and pallet jacks to move boxes in the warehouse.

Iron Mountain is seeking a hands-on Shipping/Receiving Clerk (Project Specialist) to join our Records Project team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in moving and protecting important historical government records. Working as part of a team, you’ll make sure every box is tracked, packed, and safely transported according to strict security guidelines.

What You’ll Do (Responsibilities) In this role, you will:

• Move and Stage Records: Safely pull, move, and stack record boxes weighing up to 50 lbs, including working off elevated platforms up to 15 feet high.
• Label and Track: Put barcode and RFID labels on boxes in exact locations so every file can be tracked electronically.
• Pack and Secure Pallets: Arrange boxes on pallets in proper order, protect the corners, and wrap them tightly in plastic for safe shipping.
• Check Inventory: Help check box numbers against pull lists to make sure everything matches before it is moved.
• Use Material Handling Gear: Safely move boxes around the warehouse using hand trucks, wheeled carts, and pallet jacks.

What You’ll Bring (Skills & Qualifications) The ideal candidate will have:

What We Offer (Benefits)

• Salary details: Starting at 22.95hr
• Shift: Monday - Friday 7:00 am - 3:30 pm
• Onsite location: 7358 South Pulaski, Chicago, IL. 60629
• Eligible for SCA Pay of up to an additional $5.09/hr (if benefits are declined)

Reasonably expected salary range: $38,600.00 - $48,300.00

Please note that an employee’s starting salary may vary based on a variety of factors. WhereState, Municipal, Provincial, Territorial or other legal minimum wages exceed the federal minimum wage, employees are entitled to the higher rate.
