Qualifications

Job description

Under direct supervision, The Shipping and Receiving Clerk I performs a variety of receiving and shipping tasks. Follows established shipping and receiving procedures to ensure customer satisfaction.

Essential Job Functions/Tasks:

  1. Works with Quality Control to ensure incoming finished goods and purchased production parts are qualified before being released for sale or use in manufacturing.
  2. Fills out production order requests for Work in Process (WIP) parts, resin and purchased production parts. Picks, packs, and ships all orders. Verifies items to be shipped against pick tickets to ensure shipping accuracy.
  3. Follows all C-TPAT (Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism) procedures.
  4. Transfers finished goods and component products from Production to Shipping both physically and in E1. Verifying transfers are for correct item number, quantities, and locations. Notifies Planner when transfer causes inventory discrepancies.
  5. Conducts daily inspections of forklifts and electric pallet jacks.
  6. Picks up and delivers finished goods from and to various locations. Delivers MRO’s to different departments within the company.
  7. Weighs count parts for storage in warehouse or shipment to customers.
  8. Processes UPS orders including picking, processing in ShipExec, staging and end of day close out processes.
  9. Assists with training of seasonal temporary staff.
  10. May be required to work overtime when necessary.

Education/Training Required and Preferred:

  1. High school diploma or GED equivalent.

Experience Required and Preferred:

  1. Minimum 1 year of general warehouse or shipping experience.

  1. Demonstrated ability to operate electric pallet jacks, stand up and sit-down forklifts as determined by successful completion of in-house training.
  2. Ability to work within a team environment and demonstrate professional behavior.
  3. Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, and the ability to comprehend work instructions.
  4. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact with members across the organization.
  5. Ability to accurately perform intermediate mathematical and statistical calculations and to use a weight counting scale.
  6. Basic proficiency with computers, sufficient to properly perform all warehouse management functions.

The hourly rate for this opportunity ranges from $13.38 to $19.44.

The Company complies with all federal/local/state regulations in regard to pay. The above represents the expected hourly range for this job requisition. Compensation offered to the successful candidate will be determined by qualifications, prior experience, other job-related factors, and geographic location.
