Job summary

Smf is seeking a Shipping & Receiving Clerk to keep materials flowing in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You'\'ll coordinate shipments, verify deliveries, and maintain inventory records to support production and customer delivery.

Ideal candidates have 1-2 years in warehouse or related roles, strong attention to detail, good communication, and basic Lean principles like 5S and Standard Work. This role offers a comprehensive benefits package and a positive team culture.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years in warehouse, supply chain, shipping/receiving, or admin environments.
• Intermediate computer skills and ability to work within inventory systems.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
• Basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles such as 5S and Standard Work.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming deliveries against purchase orders.
• Identify and document shipment discrepancies or damaged materials.
• Prepare, package, and label customer orders for shipment.
• Generate shipping documents, bills of lading, and inventory records.
• Coordinate with carriers to ensure on-time deliveries.
• Maintain accurate physical and electronic inventory records.
• Organize inventory for efficient retrieval and material flow.
• Collaborate with Production, Warehouse, Customer Service, and Purchasing teams.
• Follow safety procedures, company policies, and shipping standards.
• Support additional operational activities as needed.
