Job summary

NPI is seeking an experienced Shipping & Receiving Clerk in Wyandotte, MI. You will handle packaging, loading, unloading, and ensuring accurate documentation for shipments to customers and from service centers.

Job Summary

NPI - Specialty Valve and Machined Products is looking for experienced Shipping & Receiving Clerk. Responsible for packaging, loading, & unloading. Duties include scale counting product going to and returning from outside service centers. Assuring vehicles are. properly loaded to meet all requirements.

Primary responsibilities include:

• All required paperwork and material is processed each day and shipped to the customers.


• Manages incoming and outgoing goods in the warehouse area.


• The person is self-motivated and works with minimal supervision.


• Consistently working in a safe manner and adheres to regulations/procedures.


• Complete all required safety training


• Load and unload cargo


• Manage all important documents such as shipping notice, pick slips, bills of lading etc.


• Complete and verify paperwork for accuracy

Education / Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent G.E.D.


• Solid knowledge of OSHA procedures


• 1 to 3 years of warehouse & manufacturing experience a plus

• Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, bend and twist while handling product

Majority of work time is spent standing, walking, & lifting

Ability to work safely and comply with all safety regulations, ability to lift, push or pull 50 lbs., stand, walk bend, and kneel throughout shift.

Work outdoors in all-weather elements, including extreme heat, cold, rain, snow, and wind.

Perform physical tasks outside while exposed to changing weather conditions.
