JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Creates and ensures a fun-filled, entertaining, and exciting environment where the flawless delivery and execution of service excellence is paramount.
- Receives and accounts for daily/weekly deliveries from vendors, as needed.
- Delivers requested orders to the appropriate departments in a timely manner.
- Organizes and maintains the cleanliness of all storage areas, as requested.
- Adheres to Local, State, and Federal Health Department Codes and ABC Regulations.
- Maintains professionalism at all times when working with team members and guests.
- Examines all perishable food items delivered to Commissary.
- Oversees receipt of stock, ensuring it meets company specifications, including weighing and inspection.
- Accepts or refuses any unsatisfactory products.
- Contacts purchasing to ensure credit on returned products.
- Performs formulation checks to ensure safe levels on perishable products during deliveries.
- Receives all other items and oversees stock rotation.
- Participates in physical inventories as needed.
- Maintains knowledge of all applicable State and ABC Regulations.
- Promotes outstanding customer relations, honesty, and trust among team members.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Previous receiving experience preferred.
- One to three years of experience in receiving, including food products.
- Must successfully complete background check and licensing process required by the Delaware Lottery.
- Valid driver’s license with a minimum of two years of driving record with no points.
- Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to use a hand truck and basic mechanical skills is preferred.
- Knowledge of computer software including Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to walk and stand for at least an eight-hour shift, lift up to 80 lbs, and push or pull up to 50 lbs. Must be able to bend, reach, pull, push, kneel, squat, and grasp as needed.
- Must wear and appear comfortable in the assigned uniform provided by Delaware Park.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Work in large areas with long walking distances, busy service bars, and varied environments with high volumes, noise, and diverse clientele.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and communicate effectively with guests, co-workers, and management.
- Handle guest-related situations professionally, relaying compliments and complaints to management.
