Job description

Shipping/Receiving Clerk

Location: Wichita, KS

Job ID: #70942

Pay Range: $20-25

This position oversees the life-cycle of a repair order from purchase order placement to order closure in the applicable systems. Responsibilities include creating quotes and sales orders in the SAP Sales & Distribution module, managing changes to SAP sales orders, monitoring inventory and billing reports, and communicating with customers. Actions taken directly impact sales, profit, and delivery performance.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Assist in verifying incoming shipments, identifying discrepancies, and resolving issues with customers and internal departments.
  2. Verify customer purchase order requirements and ensure they can be fulfilled by the Service Center before accepting work.
  3. Understand service contracts, customer requirements, and process flow for creating service notifications in SAP.
  4. Monitor the quality and accuracy of your work to meet organizational standards.
  5. Use tools, systems, procedures, and processes to create SAP service notifications with moderate supervision.
  6. Identify process constraints and suggest improvements for customer satisfaction.
  7. Assist with special projects as needed.
  8. Utilize SAP reporting tools to generate reports meeting customer expectations.
  9. Coordinate holidays, extra hours, and shift changes.
  10. Administer customer portals and validate reported defects.
  11. Modify orders within the SAP system.
Qualifications/Experience Needed
  • Typically requires an AA/AS degree or equivalent with at least 4 years of relevant experience.
  • Must be a U.S. Person or Permanent Resident (Green Card holder).
  • Experience in environments requiring written and oral communication with internal or external customers.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience using SAP or other ERP systems.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
