What You’ll Do

Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.
Determines method of shipment.
Packs product for shipping and prepares shipping labels

Routes items to departments.
Examines outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications.
Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies.

What You Need To Thrive In This Role

High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
Prior shipping and receiving experience within an industrial/manufacturing setting.
Computer Skills – knowledge of MS Office and online shipping software systems.
Problem-Solving
Dependability - Follows instructions, responds to management direction.
Safety and Security – Observes safety and security procedures; reports potentially unsafe conditions; uses equipment and materials properly.
Strong attention to detail, ability to multi-task, ability to anticipate, think ahead and plan.
