Job summary

UmbraGroup in Michigan is seeking a warehouse-focused worker to manage incoming and outgoing goods, verify serial numbers, and document per plant standards. You will train other operators and cross-train across cells, while upholding safety and 6S practices.

Role requires forklift operation, use of power tools, and strict adherence to ITAR and EH&S policies. Reasonable accommodations and a collaborative team environment support success in this position.

Responsibilities

  • Count incoming/outgoing product and verify serial numbers.
  • Document activities in accordance with plant standards.
  • Train other operators and cross-train between cells.
  • Follow proper safety requirements in the workplace.
  • Maintain 6S and ensure damage-free incoming/outgoing products.
  • Ensure cardboard bailer is emptied and cardboard recycled.

Job description

  • Must be able to perform the physical aspects of position including, but not limited to, walking, bending, twisting, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Must have or be able to obtain and maintain a fork truck license. Training to be provided by Linear Motion, LLC
  • Must be able to operate a fork truck license
  • Must be able to safely operation power tools
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Counting incoming/outgoing product
  • Verify serial numbers on incoming/outgoing products
  • Document in accordance to the plant standards
  • Training of other operators
  • Cross-functional training (between cells)
  • Follow proper safety requirements in the workplace
  • 6S
  • Assured all incoming products are free of damage
  • Assure all outgoing products are packaged to prevent damage
  • Assure cardboard bailer is emptied and cardboard is disposed of
Qualifications
  • Due to ITAR regulations, must be a U.S. person
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Work independently with minimums supervision
  • Adhere to all environmental, health and safety policies, regulations, and requirements.

Language, Math, and Reasoning Ability

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, drawings, set-up sheets, travelers, procedure manuals and government regulations.

Computer Skills

Must be able to use the computer and computer software as required by job.
