Apex Industrial Automation in Romeoville, IL, is hiring for an entry level Shipping/Receiving position to start a career with Apex and grow with us. This role involves examining package contents, selecting and packing items using the P21 System, and assisting with loading/unloading shipments.

You will help maintain inventory, support cross‑functional teams, and ensure accurate documentation; a valid Illinois driver’s license, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and reliable, punctual attendance are

• Forklift experience preferred.

Apex is currently looking for the right individual to begin their career with Apex and grow with us. This is an entry level position.

Job Overview:

• Examine contents of all packages and compare with records, such as packing slips, manifests, invoices or orders to verify accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments
• Receive, Pick and Pack through P21 System
• Distribute parts to various departments
• Pack, seal and label material to ship standard UPS packages in a timely manner
• Freight shipments to be skidded, wrapped, bound
• Contact carrier representatives to issue instructions for shipping of larger items
• Keep shipping and receiving area in order and clean at the end of every day
• Unload and load trucks via forklift
• Inventory Control – including weekly cycle counts, organizing product, P21 bin adjustment and maintenance, etc.
• Maintenance of Forklifts
• Maintenance of Floor Scrubber
• Continually looking for better business processes to improve current standard processes or to provide excellent customer support
• Provide assistance to other employees in a courteous and professional manner as required
• Assist with any other projects as needed to better serve customers and fellow team members
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Must have a valid and current Illinois Driver’s License through employment
• Must be Dependable & Prompt
