APEX INDUSTRIAL AUTOMATION LLC in Romeoville, IL is seeking an entry level team member to begin a career in shipping, receiving and warehouse operations. This role is ideal for someone looking to grow with a manufacturing logistics team.

You will examine contents, verify records, pick and pack via P21, move items with a forklift, conduct weekly cycle counts, maintain equipment, and ensure timely UPS shipments. You must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and have a valid Illinois driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Forklift experience preferred.
• 1 year warehouse experience preferred.
• English language required.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Illinois driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Verify accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments against records (packing slips, manifests, invoices, orders).
• Receive, pick and pack through P21 System.
• Distribute parts to various departments.
• Pack, seal and label material for UPS shipments.
• Skid, wrap, and prepare freight for shipment; coordinate with carriers for large items.
• Unload/load trucks using forklift; maintain safe operation.
• Inventory control including weekly cycle counts; perform bin adjustments.
• Maintain forklifts and floor scrubber; keep shipping area clean.
• Suggest and implement process improvements to enhance customer service and efficiency.

Job Overview

• Examine contents of all packages and compare with records, such as packing slips, manifests, invoices or orders to verify accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments
• Receive, Pick and Pack through P21 System
• Distribute parts to various departments
• Pack, seal and label material to ship standard UPS packages in a timely manner
• Freight shipments to be skidded, wrapped, bound
• Contact carrier representatives to issue instructions for shipping of larger items
• Keep shipping and receiving area in order and clean at the end of every day
• Unload and load trucks via forklift
• Inventory Control – including weekly cycle counts, organizing product, P21 bin adjustment and maintenance, etc.
• Maintenance of Forklifts
• Maintenance of Floor Scrubber
• Continually looking for better business processes to improve current standard processes or to provide excellent customer support
• Provide assistance to other employees in a courteous and professional manner as required
• Assist with any other projects as needed to better serve customers and fellow team members
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Must have a valid and current Illinois Driver's License through employment
• Must be Dependable & Prompt
