Job summary

G.P De Silva Spices Imports, blends, packages, and warehouses specialty spices for a wide variety of retail and food service customers. The Shipping and Receiving Clerk role is a hands-on position in our Houston facility.

You will track inbound and outbound products, perform data entry in ERP systems and Excel, and support inventory control, QC, and communications with suppliers and teams.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of data entry experience.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Proficiency in IT: Excel, Word, and Microsoft Teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Track incoming and outgoing products.
• Update databases with shipments and receipts (ERP and Excel).
• Notify Inventory Manager of shortages and inconsistencies.
• Operate equipment per training provided.
• Assist QC and verify outgoing products per company policies.
• Assist Inventory Clerk with inventory verifications.

Shipping and Receiving Clerk Responsibilities:

• Tracking incoming and outgoing products.
• Updating databases with incoming and outgoing products (data entry in ERP software and Microsoft Excel)
• Notify Inventory Manager with shortages and inconsistencies.
• Operate equipment according to training provided.
• Assisting QC and checking outgoing products according to company policies.
• Assisting Inventory Clerk with inventory verifications.

Qualifications for Shipping and Receiving Clerk:

• 1-2 years of data entry experience.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Proficiency in information technology (Excel, Word, and Microsoft Teams)
• Great communication skills: Proper usage of emails, phone calls and texts.
