Responsibilities

The Shipping & Receiving Clerk is responsible for providing excellent customer service, maintaining accurate parts inventory, and assisting the Parts department with routine audits, parts organization, and tracking. The Shipping & Receiving clerk ships, delivers, and receives parts orders.

1. Establish and maintain good working relationships with wholesale and retail customers.
2. Assist all customers promptly and professionally, including retail and service, with clear and concise communication.
3. Maintain parts inventory, including stocking shelves, organizing bins, recording locations, conducting perpetual bin audits, and maintaining special order bins.
4. Maintain a delivery board with departure times and destinations.
5. Maintain a detailed delivery log for returns and funds handling.
6. Assist in physical parts inventory annually.
7. Deliver parts to technicians or recipients; pull orders for counterpersons when necessary.
8. Keep the work area clean and organized, storing all materials below the counter.
9. Immediately notify the parts manager of damaged parts or shortages.
10. Answer telephone and greet customers professionally, following ITC standards.
11. Complete all required Lithia and manufacturer training for certification.
12. Sweep floors, empty trash, and maintain a clean parts department.
13. Maintain a clean delivery vehicle, drive cautiously, and adhere to traffic laws.
14. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

1. Automotive dealership service experience is a plus.

3. Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
4. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
5. Working knowledge of computers.
