Position Overview

The Shipping and Receiving Clerk is responsible for all activities related to inbound and outbound packages. Key duties include maintaining records, preparing shipping documents and labels, fulfilling orders accurately, and maintaining the loading dock with necessary equipment and materials. The role involves unpacking received materials, distributing contents to appropriate departments, storing shipping materials, and possibly operating forklifts and company trucks for deliveries. The position works under immediate supervision, relying on instructions and pre-established guidelines.

Qualifications Summary

Candidates must have a High School diploma or GED and at least one year of related experience in a manufacturing environment. Proficiency in office software such as Word and Excel, as well as experience with the company ERP system, is required. A valid driver’s license with a good driving record is necessary. Forklift experience is preferred.

Physical Demands

This role requires physical exertion, including lifting up to 50 lbs. It involves handling moderately light items such as parts, papers, and kits. Candidates should have above-average agility and dexterity to perform specific physical tasks.

Salary Range

$20.00 - $22.00 per hour
