Job summary

Precision Castparts seeks a Level One shipping/receiving associate in Dillon, SC to perform basic loading, unloading, inspection and packaging for finished goods or outside processing.

You will take assignments from a supervisor, unload trucks, verify contents, palletize and enter basic data into the system. Typical requirements: 0–1 year manufacturing experience, GED/HS diploma, and forklift experience. The role requires safety adherence and occasional overtime.

Qualifications

• 0 to 1 year of manufacturing experience; prior military experience; or technical certification / degree required
• GED or High School diploma
• Minimum 6 months prior experience operating powered industrial equipment

Responsibilities

• Obtain job assignments from lead, supervisor or manager.
• Work safely in accordance to plant safety guidelines including cardinal rules of safety.
• Adheres to quality processes including in-process visual inspection to ensure compliance with quality specifications.
• Correctly interpret work instructions and verify documentation
• Unload trucks Visual Inspection, Verification of received goods
• Prepare materials for inspections
• Pull stock to prepare shipments
• Palletize goods (banding, wrapping etc.)
• Basic system transactions in QMS
• Basic packaging tasks (weigh count, labeling, visual inspection etc.)
• Part marking verification
• Maintain equipment and work area in a clean and orderly condition.
• Perform daily housekeeping / 6S activities as required.
• Perform other duties as requested by lead, supervisor or manager.
